What I’ve Been Reading

I’m about to dive a bit more into INSPYs reading, but wanted to share some of my recents reads!

  1. Stuart Little by E.B. White – I blame the puzzle.
  2. Becoming Us by Robin Jones Gunn – One of the fun books I get to work on. Robin is fabulous, so be sure to check it out!
  3. A Song of Home by Susie Finkbeiner – Confession, I’m not 100% done, but am loving this one and have really enjoyed this series, and she’s the best, so buy them all! And maybe follow Susie.
  4. The Invention of Hugo Cabret by Brian Selznick – Loved! More about it here.
  5. My Happy Life by Lagercrantz & Eriksson – Again, the puzzle.
  6. Before We Were Yours by Lisa Wingate – Lived up to the hype. So enjoyed this one for book club.
  7. Dangerous Prayers: 50 Powerful Prayers that Changes The World – Read more of my thoughts here!

Have you read any? What are you reading right now?

  1. I’m reading Almost Home by Valerie Fraser Luesse. I love the quiet way her characters are healing following the Depression and the tragedies of WWII. Set in Alabama it has a great southern flavor. There’s even a 100 year old mystery unfolding from the pages of a journal. Great, great book! Your picture made me smile. My kids each read and performed a short class program of Mr. Poppers Penguins. It brought back sweet memories.

  2. I am working on Of Fire and Lions by Mesu Andrews. Also I’m working on the kindle on Whose Waves These Are for an April release. Super busy reviewing time! Enjoy your INSPY reads!

  3. I just reread Mr. Popper’s Penguins a few months ago, and I’ve read Stuart Little a couple times too, though not recently.

I finished The Annotated Big Sleep by Raymond Chandler and various annotators this morning, and I’m still working on The Two Towers and Flora of Middle-earth 🙂

  4. I have Before We Were Yours on my TBR list. Thanks to your recommendation I will begin reading it this week. I look forward to checking out more of your recommendations in the near future!
